Community Guidelines

These guidelines govern participation in the ORIVON Astrographers Collective. They're a plain-language summary and not a substitute for formal legal advice — see ORIVON's legal page for the site's general terms and privacy policy.

Ownership and copyright

You retain full copyright over every photograph you submit. By submitting, you confirm you created and own the image (or are authorized to submit it), and you grant ORIVON a non-exclusive license to display and promote it with attribution — including in Collective previews and social posts promoting you or the Collective. ORIVON does not acquire ownership of your work.

Attribution

Every photograph published in the Collective is credited to its astrographer, with a link back to their profile.

What you can submit

You must own or otherwise control the rights to any image you submit. Images generated entirely by AI are not accepted. Mosaics, composites, or images combining multiple datasets are welcome, but must be disclosed at submission.

Location privacy

Sharing your exact observing coordinates is never required. A general region (e.g. a city, park, or country) is enough for the story behind your image.

Moderation

Every profile and photograph is reviewed by ORIVON before it becomes public. Participation in the Collective does not guarantee approval, selection, or promotion. ORIVON may reject or remove content that violates these guidelines.

Removal requests

You can withdraw your own photographs at any time from your dashboard. If you need a profile or photograph removed and can't do it yourself, contact ORIVON.

Respectful community

Be respectful toward other astrographers. Harassment, hateful content, and spam are not tolerated and will result in content removal and, for repeat violations, account suspension.
