ORIVON is an independent astronomy and astrophotography platform built to help people learn, plan, share their work and connect with the community.
Every article, guide, tool and Collective feature is free, and our core community features will remain accessible to everyone.
If ORIVON has helped you and you would like to support its continued development, you can make a one-time contribution or become a monthly supporter.
Your support is completely optional. Being part of the community will never depend on contributing financially.
Support is completely voluntary and does not unlock paid or exclusive functionality. ORIVON remains free and accessible to everyone.
A Small Thank You
Supporters can receive:
- A Supporter badge on their public Collective profile.
- An optional mention on ORIVON's acknowledgements page.
- Optional links to their ORIVON portfolio, website or social profiles.
Recognition is optional and added by hand: an administrator adds the badge only after checking your contribution in Ko-fi or PayPal. After you contribute, get in touch with your Collective username and tell us whether you would like to be listed, and which link, if any, to show. You can ask at any time for your name or links not to appear, or for the badge to be removed.
The badge is a thank-you for a confirmed contribution. It stays unless the contribution is refunded or charged back, or you ask us to remove it. ORIVON never shows amounts, e-mail addresses, payment details or payment dates.
Support never influences approvals, gallery placement, moderation decisions or Photo of the Month selections.

What Support Does and Doesn't Do
- There are no tiers. Every contribution is treated the same way, whatever its size.
- There is no exclusive content and there are no paid features.
- Support gives no priority in profile or photo approvals, gallery placement, Photo of the Month, moderation, Discussions or editorial visibility.
- To change or cancel a monthly contribution, use Ko-fi or PayPal, where you manage it.
- ORIVON never receives or stores your card details or PayPal credentials. Payments are handled entirely by Ko-fi and PayPal, under their own terms and privacy policies.
What Your Support Helps Fund
ORIVON is an independent project. Contributions go toward keeping it running and improving it:
- Website hosting and domain costs.
- Image storage and database infrastructure.
- Development and maintenance of Sightline.
- Maintenance of Astrographers Collective and Discussions.
- Security, moderation and spam prevention.
- New educational resources and community features.
